Jewels, I have been looking for info on that too! One of the tabs from the paper here had some info written by (I think) a woman who had done research and intereviewed some survivors. I'm not sure if she was local or not. I wonder if they would have any info about it at La Paz, since that is where it originally was? It really is fascinating that such a place existed, yet odd that there is virtually no info. And believe me, I have scoured the internet! I haven't tried any of the libraries though - maybe one of the Bakersfield ones would have info... If you find anything, let me know! It's always been a fascination of mine.
