Great post Colitas!  I wish there were more respect for our flag as well.  My wife and I fly our flag on most holidays, the 4th, Memorial Day Veterans Day, etc.  When we're home we fly it on the weekends too.  And the only reason we wouldn't fly it on a holiday would be because we won't be home before it gets dark and flag etiquette dictates that it shouldn't be in the dark without a light on it. My wife and I love the little 4th of July parade in BVS!  It feels like a small town parade where people care about such things, and where folks still show respect for the flag!
