He was making it very clear that, if we believe in Him, we will show love for each other.The Bible says that Jesus demonstrated His love by dying for us even though we did not deserve it. Our Lord's love moved Him to sacrifice His own life so we could live with Him forever.God's sacrificial love is like the love mothers have for their children.Their love moves them to be compassionate, generous and kind. Sometimes it seems very difficult for us to obey our Lord's command to love one another. When people are rude or inconsiderate, it may seem hard to show love to them.To follow God's command, we must put Him first in our life. We need to remember how much He loves us and ask Him to give us strength to love others.God's love, like the love of a caring mother, encourages us to love other people.
