This year the Tehachapi Unified School District WorkAbility 1 program, in conjunction with the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), placed over 75 students in job experiences in the Tehachapi community.These businesses provided work placements for students: ACE Hardware; Any Time Fitness; Avalon Spa; Canine Creek; Dollar Tree; Farmers Insurance; The Feed Store; Kmart; Hemme Hay; Woodford Tehachapi Road Horse Ranch; McDonalds; Mirabella’s Beauty Salon; Mountain Garden Nursery; Mountain Paint and Supply; Sears; Old Town Pizza; Picture Perfect; Pioneer Hardware; Taco Samich; TEC Computer; Tehachapi Hot Rydes; Tejon Ranch; and the TUSD Bus Barn.
