On June 12, The Tehachapi Republican Women, Federated honored four outstanding young women for their winning essays titled, “America the Free Because of the Brave.” Jessica Hefley and Emily Walter are each the recipients of a $500 scholarship.  Sara Morris and Jesika Kenney are recipients of a $250 scholarship. A total of six entries competed for the scholarships. Each young lady described how her chosen vocation would contribute towards a better America. Each of the applicants impressed the scholarship committee. Applicants were required to describe their career objectives and outline how they plan to accomplish those goals. The TRWF is honored to contribute to the success of each scholarship recipient.Jessica Hefley outlined her goals to become a constitutional lawyer focusing on the rights of children.
