Jean P. Daniels entered into rest on June 3, at the age of 84. Her death was remarkably peaceful. Jean was born in San Bernardino and later moved to Tehachapi. During World War II, Jean worked for North American Aviation, where she met and later married her husband Jack. For most of their marriage they lived in the Seaside Ranchos neighborhood of Torrance. While still actively parenting a young family, Jean returned to school, earning a bachelors degree and a teaching credential from Long Beach State University. Jean taught for 20 years at Wilmington Park Elementary School. In retirement, Jean remained a member of Kappa Kappa Iota teacher’s sorority. Jean loved children, travel, education, music and dance. She was also an avid genealogist, tracing her ancestors back to their arrival in America in 1639. She was a past president of the Colonial Dames XVII Century, Williamsburg Chapter and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She became an expert on paper...
