Terry was born on Jan. 1, 1945 in Kansas City, Kan. to parents Michael and Katherine Spandle. In 1955, the family moved to California where Terry married his teenage sweetheart, Pat, in August of 1965. They raised their daughters in La Mirada. Terry enjoyed an early retirement from the banking industry and moved to Humboldt County in 1993, then to Tehachapi in 2000.Terry will be most remembered for his cooking. His extended family of nieces and nephews fondly remember years of backyard barbeques and swimming parties. In Humboldt County, Terry was known as the Soup Man to the Ferndale senior citizens and coordinated many Swiss Club dinners. Terry continued his tradition of cooking for others when he moved to Tehachapi. The children of the Buckaroos have enjoyed his play day hot dog barbecues while the adults enjoyed the many tri-tip barbecues.Terry is survived by his wife, Patricia Spandle, of Tehachapi; daughters, Beth Zoellner and Laurie Spandle, of La Mirada; and grandson, Brennan...
