On Sunday, Oct. 8, Onslow Stauffer was called home to be with the Lord. His battle with lymphoma was short but hard fought. Family members were bedside at the time of his passing. Onslow leaves behind a wife of 51 years, Shirley, and his children Patricia, Kenneth and Robert. Also seven grandchildren; Anna, Christine, Cody, Kennedy, Shannon, Riley and Brady. He joins another daughter already in heaven, Diane. Born June 16, 1929, Onslow grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa. during the Depression and World War II eras. At 14, he took on three paper routes to support the family. Some knew Onslow for his work, while others knew him for his sense of humor and optimistic character. “If it gets any better, I won’t be able to stand it!” he often proclaimed. A UCLA graduate in 1957, Onslow found the aeroscape industry home for many years, until becoming a real estate appraiser in 1979.
