Services were held Friday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at Wood Family Funeral Service for Rose Blossom Ford, 89, who passed away at her home in Tehachapi on Monday, Dec. 4. Rose was born to John Lee and Madge Jean Hunter in Seattle, Wash., on Dec. 23, 1916. She moved to Kern County as a young child and graduated from Bakersfield High School. While still living in Bakersfield, she married William John Ford on March 30, 1947. Mrs. Ford is survived by her daughter, Valerie and Lee Aragon; son-in-law, Tom Freng; grandchildren, Walt and Mary Collins, Becky Johnson, Stan and Tracey Collins, Tom Freng, Jr., Joan Pogon-Cord, Tom Watkins, and Rick Watkins; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Bradallyn Johnson, Bradley and Brandie Johnson, Sandy Johnson, Elliott Collins, Amanda Collins, Austin Murphy, Jarred Murphy, Courtney Cord, Ashley Cord, Carson Freng, Chyann Watkins and Machall Watkins; and many,many great-great-grandchildren.
