The April 5 meeting of the Tehachapi Lions Club was yet another opportunity for the organization to honor three local students for outstanding achievement. The first student was MAtt Cruse from Jacobsen Middle School. Matt is very interested in drama and has future plans of attending college and majoring in Fine Arts. Aside from being active at school, Matt finds time to be a part of his Youth group at the Stallion Springs Church. Teachers comments and praise were numerous, stating that he is always kind and considerate, has a great sense of humor,  and is always ready to help others. His drama efforts this year included the Pirates Play and the Oz Play. As one staff member commented, “I wish I had a dozen of him!” His proud parents, Helen and Cordon, looked on as Matt was presented with his certificate of achievement.
