The Barracuda swim team traveled to Ridgecrest on May 19 for a two-day High Point Swim Meet sponsored by the Indian Wells Valley Swim Team. With 20 team members swimming for the Barracudas in the first swim meet of the season, the team came on strong taking the second place High Point Team Trophy after two days of high competition. Head coach Tessa Brown was very pleased with the results and wishes to thank all the parents who pitched in to help at the meet. This was a Team and Individual High Point meet where points were awarded for each event. The team and individual points were totaled up for High Point trophy awards. Team members who swam to victory and earned individual High Point Trophy’s were: head coach Tessa Brown in the 15-and-over girls events, winning all eight of her events and setting a new meet record in the 100-yard breaststroke.
