Applications are now available for the 2007 Miss Rodeo Tehachapi Pageant. The winners will be announced during the Tehachapi Mountain Festival in August. There is an orientation meeting at the Veteran's Hall of Tehachapi on June 29 at 6 p.m. Rules and other information will be given. All contestants under the age of 18 years must have a parent or legal guardian present at orientation. The divisions will include Miss Rodeo Tehachapi, Jr. Miss Rodeo Tehachapi, and if there is enough interest, Little Miss Rodeo Tehachapi. Rodeo Queen contestants will compete in the areas of horsemanship, appearance, personality and ticket sales. Call pageant coordinator, Roxanne Sasia at 822-5325 for more information. The Dust N Diamonds Equestrian Drill Team is now practicing weekly. Among the events the group will perform include the Tehachapi Mountain Festival Parade and the PRCA Rodeo.
