“Just sit right back and you’ll here a tale, a tale of a fateful trip”….aboard the S.S. Bulldog. “Cruise 2007” was the theme for a dance the Jacobsen Middle School 2007 8th grade class will not soon forget. Anticipation for the big dance was high, when students were finally allowed into the gym for the dance. Planning for the big event took place months prior by Committee Chairwoman, Jenny Freeman, and assistant Chris Duff. Experts were brought in from the community to help with the staging of this event. Local Muralist Lyn Bennett partnered with GHS Art paraprofessional Nancy Miller to coordinate their crew of volunteer painters to paint spectacular murals within the gymnasium itself. The finished product transformed the gym into a tropical ocean scene which set the stage for students to be boarding the cruise ship, the “S.S. Bulldog”.
