The Tehachapi Western Events Association has a Moonlight Trail & Poker Ride on Oct. 13. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. at the Jack Springs Ranch, Stallion Springs, and the ride will follow at dark along the Sheep Trail.
Final results of the TWEA/NBHA Barrel Race Series and the Trail Trials are in. The winners of the three-series barrel races included: 1D - first place, Lisa Stafford on Sweet Dough and second Jaclyn Wagner on Cinnamon; 2D - Cindy Ritchea (Leo Sneakin Sam), Julia Stevens (Ginger), Kim Bilson (Reba), Lisa Stafford (Peso) and Cindy Richea (Gailbraith Tiny Roan); 3d - Kim Bilson (Toby), Verna Wemple (Lil Cindy Chic), Katie Leighton (Destiny), Trish Stevens (Lonesome) and Teda Hudson (Skid); 4D - Sandi Maxwell (Baldy), Melissa Stephey (Fancy), Jaclyn Wagner (Commands to Rock), Melissa Stephey (Skip) and Verna Wemple (Cheetah); Youth - Julie Stevens (Ginger).
