Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tehachapi gives 10 percent of all their offerings to mission projects. Each year their Church Council chooses the missions that will be supported. This year the church was able to give over $30,000 to missions in our community and around the world. Some of the missions that will receive money this year from the church are: The Bakersfield Rescue Mission, The Family Life Pregnancy Center of Tehachapi, Global Health Ministries, Good Shepherd Preschool of Tehachapi, Hume Lake Christian Camps, Lutheran Bible Translators, Lutheran Blind Mission Society, Lutheran Social Services of Southern California, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod World Relief, People of the Book Lutheran Outreach, Sharing and Caring of Tehachapi, The Salvation Army in Tehachapi, and Rob Scebold of the Wycliffe Bible Translators.
