This year is fast coming to an end. I would like to reflect on some of the positives that the city has accomplished over the year. We have a brand new park on I Street. It’s name, “Pioneer Park,” brings to mind all the previous people of the community who made Tehachapi what it is today.
Curry Street was repaved and in addition, new sidewalks were added. Numerous new businesses have joined the community, such as Starbucks, Que’ Pasa Restaurant and Don Perico's along with several new small businesses, demonstrating that whether you’re a newcomer or an oldtimer, it’s not size, but quality and friendly service that matters in Tehachapi.
The Farmer's Market was bigger and much better this year, bringing the community together in our beautiful downtown each week. A new mural was also added with the promise of many more to come.
