Rose Maria Niadas, of Bakersfield, passed away in Lancaster, peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 28, 2007. She was 84-years-old. Born on Feb. 4, 1923 in Tehachapi, to Pete and Maria Niadas. Rose lived most of her life in Bakersfield, the last five years with her daughter. She worked as a waitress in Tehachapi in the 1940s then as a laundrymat attendant in Bakersfield, and as a fieldworker all around the Bakersfield valley. Preceding her in death are her parents, brother, sisters, and grandson, David. Survivors include her only child, Rose Mary Gibson and husband Art Gibson, of North Edwards. Rose was blessed with four grandchildren, Kathy and Terry Christman, Bob and Cindy Gibson, Clint Gibson, all from Eastern Washington and Steve Gibson, from North Edwards, Rose was blessed again with seven great-grandchildren, Dallas Gibson, in the US Army in Hawaii, Natalie, an RN, and her husband, George Seubert, Daniel Gibson, Dillon Gibson, Ashley, a cosmetologist, and Emily and Clint...
