The Horse Thief Women's Golf Club in Stallion Springs held their annual Christmas awards luncheon, Thursday, Dec. 13 at the Lodge of Woodward West.  New officers were installed by Ruth Messenger with a “candy bars” theme. The tables were decorated with baskets and poinsettias and the members brought toys and gifts which were given to the Stallion Springs Police Department for the Jamison Center in Bakersfield. The annual luncheon honors those who have won special tournaments during the year and installs the officers for 2008. Members honored for special achievements were: President's cup - Betty Buss; Club Champion - Linda Cross; Ace of the Year - Judy Theriault and the well kept surprise of the afternoon, Most Improved: Dee Grayson.
