Ruby Ethel Stone, mother of Robert O. Stone, of Tehachapi, David R. Stone, of Las Vegas, and George L. Stone, of Selva Beach, Calif., passed away in Bakersfield on Dec. 20, 2007 at the age of 98 and a half years. Ethel was born in Tennessee in 1909, to David and Martha Jones, moving with her family to Texas in 1915. She married Opal Stone in 1929, with whom she had three sons. The family moved to Fresno, Calif. in 1947. Ethel was the sixth of eight children, and is preceded in death by all of them, as well as by one grandchild, and her husband, who passed away in 1961. She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Robert and Corinne, of Tehachapi, David and Chris, of Las Vegas, and George and Barbara, of La Selva Beach; as well as by nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
