Shirley was born and raised in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Kroeger on June 18, 1963. Shirley and Joe later moved to Lancaster, Calif. where they raised their three children, Kirk, Kent, and Kristi. Shirley spent most of her time raising her three children and being their number one supporters while they participated in Lancaster Youth Football and Baseball. She also coached and managed Little League Softball. Shirley was always there to cheer her daughter on at her high school and college volleyball games. Everyone knew that Shirley was in the stands. In her spare time, she held a variety of careers, she worked retail for several years with Helen’s Toy Store, worked on the B-1 Bomber as a flight-ops mechanic for Rockwell, as well as a Pharmacy Technician for Thrifty Drug Store for many years.
