Carol Barker Christensen unexpectedly passed away Jan. 28 in the Utah Valley Hospital, Provo, Utah from a brain hemorrhage. She was 69-years-old. She was born March 6, 1938 in Logan, Utah to William Vermont Barker and Rozella Beatrice Laursen. She attended the Logan schools where she was active in student activities including student Colonel of the Sponsor Corps. She attended Utah State University graduating with a composite degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She married R. Halbert Christensen in the Logan Temple, March 18, 1959. They lived 37 years in California where they raised their five children. She was a mother and homemaker until the children were raised. She then returned to the classroom where she taught all ages from kindergarten through high school, spending most of her time as a 2nd grade teacher. She and her husband lived in Tehachapi for nearly twenty years. Carol was an elementary school teacher at Golden Hills School until they moved to Utah...
