This year’s snow hampered the annual Scouting For Food project as donation bags are usually distributed the first Saturday of February. The scouts had to do double duty this year taking bags with them as they went door to door collecting donations. A total of 60 scouts and adults including Tehachapis' Cub Scout Pack 136, Scout Troop 123, Cub Scout Pack 135 and a Member of Boy Scout Troop were able to collect enough food in just over four hours to fill the bed of a pickup truck. All food collected stays in Tehachapi making this annual project that much more rewarding. A huge "Well Done" to the participating Scouts and their helpers for making a difference and to the generous residents of Tehachapi for their donations.
