This week's article will focus on the City of Tehachapi's Mission Statement. “In an effort to build the premier community in which to live and do business, the city employees and city council will commit to work in concert with our citizens to maintain the highest professional and ethical standards possible; maintain quality in all areas of our performance; and continually raise the standards throughout our community, all in the goal of increasing the quality of life for our citizens.” The Mission Statement of the City of Tehachapi is much more than contrived words or unattainable phrases. Rather, it is the foundation for all city endeavors. It is no coincidence that the first value addressed in the city's Mission Statement is centered on the citizens of Tehachapi.
