The Tomo-Kahni Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution would like to thank 5th and 8th grade students from Carden School, their teachers and principal for supporting and participating in the 2007/2008 American History Essay Contest. The topic was titled “ I spy- Espionage during the American Revolution.” Each student was to imagine what it might have been like to be a spy during the American Revolution. They were to pretend that they were either a loyalist or patriot, and discuss life as a spy, why they chose to become a spy, their experiences during the war and what consequences were brought about as results of their actions, both themselves personally and to the war in general.
