Dorothy L. Cole, age 79, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died at San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield on March 31. She was born July 19, 1928, in the town of Riverside, N.J., to the late Frank and Hazel Lloyd. She attended Palmyra Elementary School and graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1946. She went on to attend and graduate from Bible Institute of Pennsylvania (now known as Philadelphia Biblical University) on June 11, 1951. On December 20, 1952, she was united in marriage to Sherwood O. Cole, a Navy medic, at the Navel Hospital Chapel in Corona, Calif. In 1967, Dorothy and Sherwood moved to Cherry Hill, N.J., and Dorothy began working as a travel agent. Her love of travel took her to many exotic places, including China, Australia, Israel, Egypt and Jordan.
