Mountain Track collected a handful of hardware home from Cal State Bakersfield last week, competing in the South Sequoia League championships and netting a second place (varsity boys), third place (varsity girls and frosh/soph girls), and fourth place (frosh/soph boys) overall in competition. Warrior Josh Snider recorded two wins in long distance, taking the gold in the 800 and 1600 meter races, while the 4x100 relay team of John Roemer, Brennen Davis, Louie Olofson, and Josh Straus took home first. In the girls division, Alyssa Fechner recorded a first place showing in the 100 meters, while Persephone Devereaux finished on top with gold in the high jump. Chelsea Maduena, Christina Danielson, Alyssa Fechner, and Rachel Evans all came in first in the 4x100 relay competition, giving Tehachapi a clean sweep at the varsity level in the event.
