A man who said he accidentally shot and killed a Tehachapi woman was found guilty of second-degree murder on Friday afternoon. David Bruce Rosenberg, 39, now faces 15 years to life at sentencing, said Deputy Public Defender James Coker. “We’re grateful to the jurors because we know they were conscientious, but we feel bad because we were hoping they wouldn’t find him guilty of anything,” Coker said. Michelle Cross, 36, was in a car with her ex-boyfriend last September when Rosenberg came up to the window with a gun. The gun went off and Cross was shot and killed. Coker had said that Rosenberg just went to talk to the ex-boyfriend, Will Logan. Deputy District Attorney Arthur Norris argued that Rosenberg approached Logan with the intent to either rob or kidnap him.
