After qualifying 32 athletes at the Ridgecrest track meet earlier in the season, the Bulldogs looked to test their mettle against stiffer competition in Bakersfield, and came away with 14 qualifiers for the Kern County Championships. The Bulldogs had an Intermediate boys 4x100 relay time of 50.69, while other Bulldogs posted impressive results. Cameron Gamble had a youth boys 1500m time of 4:43.73, Charles Hanson had a youth boys 100m time of 11.9 and a 200m time of 24.7, and Selena Demus had a youth girls 100m time of 13.34, 200m time of 27.3, long jump of 15'4", and high jump of 4'10". Ray Hosier had an intermediate boys 100m time of 12.09, 200m time of 25.5, and shot put throw of 34'9", while Brian Castaneda had an intermediate boys 200m time of 26.8 and long jump of 16'5".
