Betty Jo "B.J." ClaggNov. 24, 1938 – Mar. 23, 2006Funeral services were held Thursday, March 30, at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel in Bakersfield for Betty Jo Clagg, who passed away on Thursday, March 23 in her home in Tehachapi in the loving arms of her husband, Randall. Betty was born in Antler, Okla. on Nov. 24, 1938, to Rueben and Georgia Brown. She was one of 10 children. She moved to California at the age of 5.Betty and Randall moved to Tehachapi from Arroyo Grande 40 years ago so Randall could work in his two chosen livelihoods: construction and ranching. Betty was a fulltime homemaker and an unbelievably steadfast partner to her husband, Randall. Betty was totally devoted to her family and her faith. Her family always came first. She taught her children through her daily example and not by "Do as I say." Her family and friends never had to guess if Betty loved them – she told them and showed them constantly.
