Coming off an enormously successful year in which it captured top honors for group six Squadron Of The Year, the Commander’s Award and Newsletter Of The Year for its quarterly publication The Landing, Civil Air Patrol Squadron 84 has wasted no time in launching its 2006 recruiting campaign. The Edwards AFB-based CAP squadron is once again looking for young men and women, ages 12 to 21, who are interested in participating in exciting and rewarding opportunities in the fields of aerospace education, cadet programs and emergency services, as well as senior members with a desire to support the squadron in leadership and administrative capacities. Cadet squadron members may earn college scholarships in a variety of disciplines, as well as the opportunity to enlist in the Air Force at a higher pay grade and participate in orientation aircraft flights and other aviation and aerospace training classes.
