The deadline for initial enrollment in the Medicare Prescription Drug program ends on May 15. Medicare beneficiaries who have limited income and resources can maximize their cost-savings by also applying for extra help that is available to pay for part of the monthly premiums, annual deductibles and prescription co-payments under the new prescription drug program.
