As the Summit Singers prepare for their May 20 concert, they're putting out a call for new members. If you are someone who loves to sing, now's the time to join. Any singer is welcome to join, but we'd particularly love to see a few new sopranos come to practice this Tuesday. If you've sung with us before, come on back. If you've been a procrastinator, delay no longer.The other day, I invited a community member to come to a Summit Singers concert and she said, "Oh, I'm not really a fan of religious singing groups." Well imagine her surprise when I named some of the many non-religious selections in our recent concerts. For example, our May concert will include show tunes, folk songs, and patriotic music, as well as some classical and religious numbers.
