After the game was over and Tehachapi stood victorious with a 2-1 victory, Warrior head coach Tracy Goodell called the game against Taft “the biggest win in the last five years.”Facing the defending SSL champion, who in 2005 did not give up a single run in league en route to a 16-6 (9-0 SSL) season, it’s safe to say that coach Goodell’s assessment was right.“Our girls really stepped up to the challenge (against Taft),” said Goodell.  “They didn’t let their guard down and they fought the whole game to get a win against a very good softball team.”Taft got on top of the Lady Warriors (7-3-1; 2-0 SSL) at the top of the fourth to take a 1-0 lead, and were looking to cruise on to the win in the SSL opener after shutting down Tehachapi in six straight innings.  However, in the bottom of the seventh, the Warriors went to work.
