For the past few weeks, I have invited readers to submit recommendations and suggestions regarding traffic problems and how we can have safer roads in the Tehachapi area. Now, before we end this discussion, let us all beware that prevention of accidents is largely in the hands of the driver. We don’t need a law enforcement officer on every corner forcing us to drive safely. Anyway, if we did, we would soon become resentful. But why don’t we drive as though a deputy was right behind us?
