Clyde Donald Hagood died on April 8. He was born Feb. 11, 1939 to Clyde Hagood and Nettie Hagood. He was married to Elaine Kastleman on June 29, 1985 in Palmdale. Don was an electrical engineer at JPL for 30 years, retiring in 2001. Don has spent the last four years faithfully caring for his mother Nettie who resides in the Tehachapi nursing home. He would take his mother for walks around the town in her wheelchair on a daily basis and became known and respected in the community for his loyalty, kindness and caring nature. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was an active coach for the Boron football teams of all ages for more than a decade. One of Don’s favorite hobbies was fishing. He also enjoyed college football and his favorite team was the Alabama Crimson Tide.Since 1991, Don was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was well-known for his faithful service and leadership within the church.
