Hey there!  I used to be what one would call a "local" way back in 1988, at which time my husband and I moved to Florida.  We miss good ole Tehachapi sooooo much - it has been too long since I've lived there and I've noticed soooooo many changes that I hardly recognize the place.  I  have lived in Tehachapi on again off again since 1958 (so now you know my age!!!) and my father and his side of the family - the Colliers - have been residents since grandpa moved the family there from Oklahoma/Moussori  in the 40's I believe.  My husband and I met there in Tehachap in 1983 and fell in love immediately.  Unfortunately, he lived in Orange County and I had a great job that I loved very much at the Tehachapi Hospital.  Well, as you can imagine, we soon decided to move in together so he quit his job of 20 years with a large concrete company in So.
