About Karen

In 2005 my husband died while waiting over an hour for a Hall Ambulance to arrive at our home.  The Kern County Fire Department stationed in Pine Mountain were at our home within 8 minutes.  However, although they were obviously caring professionals, they were inadequately trained and equiped for the job that they were sent to do.    

We need to organize and assist the Kern County Fire Department to clear away the politics (Harvey Hall) to allow the  Department to hire Advanced Life Support (ALS) Firefighter/Paramedics.  We need state-of-the-art-care while we wait for an ambulance!   We are a rural county and evern after the ambulance arrives it is frequently 45+ minutes to transport to a hospital.
