About Mark
I moved to Tehachapi in 1969 when I was ten. I went to Wells, Jacobsen and graduated in 1977 from THS. I moved to Bakersfield in late 1993 and still live there. I have been with the railroad since 1979(SP then UP). I am a single Dad of three daughters(two at home with me). I raced motocross till 2000, but quit and bought a Harley, then in March of 2008 started riding dirt again.. My grandparents, Chet and Jessie Garrett, were very well known, as Jessie had the Wards store and Chet was parts manager at Len Kemper Chevy on Curry and the Boulavard. My Mom, Nancy Garrett, eventually bought the Wards store from Jessie and operated it till it closed in the early 80s. I'd love to hear from anybody I know that remembers those days and from people I don't know to just talk about those days AND these!
