The Tehachapi Warrior golf team posted another second place finish in South Sequoia League mini-tourney action, posting a total team score of 424 to take second place behind Bakersfield Christian (424) at the Riverlakes golf course last Thursday in Bakersfield. It was Tehachapi’s closest margin to leader Bakersfield Christian in tourney action on the year.
Leading the way for the Warriors was Brendan Theabeau, who posted a seven-over 79 to tie for second place honors for the tournament. Theabeau’s solid outing was followed closely by Jacob Booth and Grant Rosander, who both posted 84s, while Jared Steinbach posted an 86 and David Garness carded a 91.
Tehachapi is firmly planted in second place in the SSL with 42 team points, behind Bakersfield Christian who has won every SSL mini-tourney to date for a team point total of 60. Wasco (30), Taft (24), Golden Valley (14), Arvin (10), and Shafter (0) round out the rest of the South Sequoia League teams.
