I'd like to nominate Melanie Rivers for Mother of the Year. Her brother-in-law lost his three children to the State of California and Melanie took those children at one, two and three years old and adopted them so they would stay in the family. Melanie also has two teenage boys. She quit her job as a Tehachapi school bus driver and became a full-time mom again.

Melanie’s husband is a truck driver so he is not home to help and she does it all with a smile on her face. She is a fine Christian example.
