Summary

During the month of March, deputies assigned to the Tehachapi City contract substation worked a total of 1,109 hours. A total of 11,442 miles were driven.
There were 470 service calls handled and 382 activities were determined to be noncriminal and/or required no further action. Eighty-eight calls and/or other activities resulted in reports being written and 15 were initiated by deputies.

Traffic related activity

There were seven traffic accident reports taken during the month of March. All seven were reportable collisions. One of the collisions involved injuries being sustained to the vehicle’s occupants. Six were property damage only.

There were 28 traffic citations issued during the month of March. Approximately 43 percent of the citations issued involved moving violations. There were no arrest made for driving under the influence.

Criminal activity

There were 41 criminal arrests made during the month of March: eight felony offenses; 33 misdemeanors; 14 arrest warrants served by station personnel; and 28 subjects were arrested and immediately released on a written promise to appear.
Of the criminal arrests made, 34 were adults and seven were juveniles. Of those arrested, 12 were female. The felony arrests were for possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of methamphetamine, parole hold, burglary, possession of a dirk or dagger, stalking and receiving stolen property.

Station personnel made 114 traffic stops and 27 person stops. Thirty-two cases were assigned for supplemental investigation. Twenty-six cases were cleared and 19 were inactivated during the month.
