“Gateways to Economic Security” was the theme of the recent state convention for American Association of University Women. Members of AAUW Tehachapi Mountain Branch attending the event in San Jose were Donna Tanner, Phyllis Belcher, Barbara Wood and Eva Hebebrand. Speakers and workshops highlighted ways to translate AAUW’s mission into action to make a strong commitment to equity and education for all women and girls. Planning is underway for local branch programs and projects to implement ideas gathered at the Convention.
Membership in AAUW is open to those who have an Associate of Arts Degree or its equivalent. Tehachapi Mountain Branch has a membership of 80 and meets monthly. There are various interest groups which have separate meeting dates.

Kudos fellow members. I'm going to renew my membership after the school semester ends on Wednesday.
