0 responses 0 comments The Bear Valley Police Department received 156 calls for service during the past reporting period. Fifteen traffic citations were issued. There were two reported traffic accidents during this period. Both were non-injury.
Arrests
Jose Gerardo Hernandez Ponce, 21, a Honduras national, was arrested for giving false information to a police officer and driving without a drivers license. He was also charged with displaying a false license plate on his vehicle.
Brian Venter, 59, of Tehachapi, was arrested for public intoxication.
Manuel T. Perez, 42, of Arvin, Colo., was arrested for driving without a drivers license, displaying false tabs, and additional vehicle code violations.
July 4 passes
Fourth-of-July holiday passes will be issued June 12 to the 30. As in the past, these passes will be available at the police department’s front counter.
