One day the disciples were in a boat during a terrible storm and became afraid for their life. Jesus decided to walk out onto the lake to calm their fears and strengthen their faith.

When the disciples saw Him walking on the water, they were terrified. But Jesus said to them, "Take courage, it is I, don't be afraid."

As Jesus climbed into the boat, the wind suddenly died down. Then all the disciples worshiped Him and said, "Truly you are the Son of God."

We, like the disciples, often find ourselves in troubled waters and in need of God's help. In this world we feel afraid as we face the fierce winds of difficulties and uncertainties.

But, just as Jesus was with the disciples, He is with us today. Our Lord comes to us and encourages us and comforts us.

Jesus assures us that God has not abandoned us or forsaken us. God is always with us listening to our prayers and guiding us.

The same Lord who created the world and walked on the water to be with His disciples is now with us. He has given us many blessings and is now calling on us to serve Him.

If our faith grows weak we become afraid and may wonder if God is really going to provide for us. This is when we need to pray to God and study the Bible to strengthen our faith.

God will give us new opportunities to serve Him. As we are sharing God's love we will be filled with joy and peace.

As we grow in our faith we will have complete confidence that the Lord who walked on water is still with us now.  We know that God will guide us and help us to discover and follow His will.
