0 responses 0 comments The staff and students of Cummings Valley School would like to express a big thank you to Karen Pestana and George Hammond of the Tehachapi Mountain Birding Club. On Friday, April 21, Karen and George helped our school with an Earth Day project: the setting up of five bluebird boxes on the edges of our playground. Karen and George were assisted by three strong fifth grade students.
Bluebird populations around the Tehachapi area have declined in latter years, so this project will hopefully encourage bluebird activity in Cummings Valley.
We appreciate all the work and time Karen and George gave for our school and in helping mother nature.
