Hot rod nights… ah, that conjures up visions of warm summer nights, food on the grill, laughter, friends and a chance to show off your elbow breaking wax job on your Candy Apple Red — well, you fill in the blank with your favorite classic.
All the guys have their heads buried under hoods checking out the latest addition to soup up the engine, with acceleration that buries you in the seat being the goal. Or, achieving rumbles out of the tailpipe that you feel in your chest more than you hear. Food, friends and fast cars – what could be better?
What’s better is having it happen rather than remembering it. And that is just what Christian Life Assembly is offering. Classic car, vintage car and hot rod owners are all invited to hang out with us every second and fourth Friday night during June, July and August from 7 to 10 p.m.
All owners showing cars will be fed hot dogs, chili and soda for free. Everyone else is invited to come by to oooh and aaah and eat for a $5 donation.
See you in CLA’s parking lot, located at 920 Valley Blvd., one block east of Tucker Road.
For more information, call Christian Life Assemlby at 822-3813.
