Tehachapi High School athletics had an outstanding year. The student athletes and coaches won 19 South Sequoia League championships in football, volleyball, cross country, girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, softball, baseball, swimming and track. None of these victories would have been possible without the support of the Tehachapi community.
THS sporting events would not have run smoothly without the assistance of the Kern County and Tehachapi Fire Departments; Hall Ambulance; Dr. Olsen; Derek Thomas; Roger Davis; Kern County Sherriff's Department; Mountain High Security; Tehachapi Mayor Ed Grimes; Tom Shea; Mike and Ester Duffy; the Chain Crew; every person who worked games; THS Boosters; Tehachapi Unified School District security; and TUSD transportation, maintenance and administration. If I have omitted anyone, accept my apology. Your contributions have been greatly appreciated.
Last but not least, THS would like to thank the people of Tehachapi who attend the matches and cheer on the student athletes and coaches. Without community support, high school athletics would not exist.
