0 responses 0 comments A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 10, at 3 p.m. at the Goddard residence for Nessie Goddard, 82. She passed away on May 31 in Tehachapi.
Nessie was born on Nov. 4, 1923 in Droudman, N.C. to parents Charles and Marie Barringer. In 1969, Nessie married Robert Goddard in Las Vegas, Nev. During her professional career she worked as a crane operator for 12 years. Nessie and her husband resided in Tehachapi for 20 years where she was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. Nessie enjoyed traveling, decorating and spending time with her family.
Nessie is predeceased by husband, Robert Goddard; son Kenneth Lee Goddard; and daughters Phyllis Carol Lee and Pamela Goddard. Nessie is survived by her son, Marvin Goddard and wife, Sharon, of Tehachapi; granddaughter, Natasha Batson and husband, Jason, of Tehachapi; great-grandchildren, Colby and Brayden of Tehachapi; brother, Bill Barringer, of Prescott, Ariz.; sister, Betty Lou Masser, of Prescott, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.
Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
