Albert “Al” Schneider, loving father and husband passed away on Sunday, May 28, in Visalia.
Al was born November 6, 1938 in Adams, Wis. He graduated from high school in Adams and started a 28-year career serving his country in the United States Army as a combat engineer. Al retired from the army, went back to college and obtained his degree in business. In 1987, Al started a second career in the California Department of Corrections, from which he later retired.
Al enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and flying remote control airplanes with his son, Herb. Al was also an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
Al is survived by his son, Herbert Schneider of Visalia; daughter, Susanne Schneider in London; and first wife, Ursula Schneider of Visalia. Al was remarried and is also survived by his spouse, Lucretia Schneider of Tehachapi.
He will be dearly missed.
Memorial services will be held in Adams, Wis. pending arrangements.
