Summary
During the month of April, deputies assigned to the Tehachapi City contract substation worked a total of 892 hours. A total of 9,509 miles were driven.
There were 351 service calls handled and 232 activities were determined to be noncriminal and/or required no further action. One 119 were calls and/or other activities resulting in reports being written and 21 were initiated by deputies.
Traffic related activityThere were 12 traffic accident reports taken during the month of April. Two of the collisions involved injuries being sustained to the vehicle ocupants. The primary cause of the injury collisions was determined to be speeding and right of way violation.
There were 94 traffic citations issued during the month of April. Approximately 44 percent of the citations issued involved moving violations. There were three arrests made for driving under the influence.
Criminal activityThere were 39 criminal arrests made during the month of April: 12 felony offenses; 27 misdemeanors; 17 arrest warrants served by station personnel; and 19 subjects were arrested and immediately released on a written promise to appear.
Of the criminal arrests made, 31 were adults and eight were juveniles. Of those arrested, 17 were female. The felony arrests were for willful cruelty to a child, possession of a controlled substance, parole hold, posession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of stolen property.
Station personnel made 114 traffic stops and 48 person stops. Thirty-six cases were assigned for supplemental investigation. Fifteen cases were cleared and 22 were inactivated during the month.
